Multi-generational households offer all members of the family a series of advantages but place high demands on engineers and the trade. Because they have to satisfy several target groups at the same time, meaning they are dependent on products which offer flexibility and comfort for every age. Like the new Eco Plus element from Viega, with which the WC height can be adjusted smoothly at the touch of a button. For every single use. Without any subsequent alterations and without electronics - instead, an attractive design hides the necessary technology behind a glass panel.
The demand for products which can be individually adjusted continuously is growing - in hospitals and care homes, as well as in private multi-generational households. Viega now offers a solution for the WC with the new Eco Plus element. At the touch of a button, the WC can be adjusted variably and smoothly in height, while remaining combinable with all conventional ceramics. The easy and comfortable use and aesthetic quality wowed the jury at the “Bathroom Comfort for Generations” product competition. They nominated the pre – wall element module for the new ZVSHK Product Award 2013.
Durable functional principle
The moveable inner frame with flexible outlet bend and flush pipe are hidden behind toughened safety glass, together with the control system. This allows the WC ceramic to be safely, smoothly and reliably moved 80 millimetres up and down. The maximum seat height is 48 centimetres. Only the release button which is mounted on the glass panel is visible.
Familiarly easy assembly
The WC element is installed in accordance with the principle of all Viega Eco Plus modules. In the same way, the familiar system dimension has been retained - with a width of 490 millimetres and an installation height of 1,130 millimetres.
When the WC element is assembled, the tiler can work up to the opening with the help of the supplied polystyrene cover. The fitter then simply positions the plastic cover with surrounding seal and fits the glass panel. Then, he fits the release button and WC ceramic.
The tried-and-tested Viega concealed cistern technology works within the accessible WC element. The flush triggers themselves can be selected from the Viega range - manual, contactless or electronic. Support rails with WC remote control can also be used without any problems.
ZVSHK Product Award for “Bathroom Comfort for Generations”
The design prize for accessible products was launched in summer 2012 by the Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima. It wants to draw the attention of the public to bathroom products which combine the function and a cross-generational design in a special way. A specialist jury has now selected 25 nominations for the product award from the 55 products submitted. The decision about the five winners of the international ZVSHK Product Award 2013 will finally be made on 14th March 2013 at the ISH in Frankfurt. The winning products will then be available to view in a number of trade exhibition by the wholesale trade. As well as German brand manufacturers, industrial companies from Japan, Brazil, Italy, Denmark and Austria have also entered the competition.
