A typical example of Viega’s strength as an innovator is the new “Pressgun 5” pressing tool available at the ISH 2013. This tool is slightly larger than the well-known “Picco” pressing tool – and at 3.2 kilogrammes it weighs about 20 per cent less than its predecessor. At the same time, the pressing tool offers performance values otherwise only achieved by larger machines: either powered by battery or using the power adaptor, the “Pressgun 5” presses all dimensions from 12 to 108 mm. According to the manufacturer’s specifications Viega’s product development is therefore the smallest and lightest press machine on the market for so-called XL press connections. Additional features of the “Pressgun 5” are also the ergonomic pistol handle, an integrated LED light for improved lighting at the installation point or service intervals of 40,000 press connections.

Viega is also committed to ensuring that increasingly complex building technology remains user friendly: due to ISH 2013, with immediate effect the “Catalogue App” also displays the manufacturer’s entire product programme offline for trade professionals. Simple search and multiple functions support work with this mobile App.
